What silicone render is.
Silicone render is a flexible, breathable, water-repellent topcoat applied over a base coat of render. It cleans itself when it rains, resists algae and dirt, holds its colour for 20+ years without repainting, and moves with the building so it doesn't crack. It's what most modern South Wales new builds and extensions use because it's fit-and-forget.
